The XBox 360 has crashed on entry with some users, or so it seems.According to 1Up.com, Microsoft has seemingly rushed the XBox 360 out the door to a plethora of complaints.
Users are reporting hard drive crashes or inoperability with some units, along with mysterious scratches appearing on XBox game CD-ROMs.
I would be gnashing my teeth in anguish too if I'd sprung for the $499.99 CDN version with the 2.4 GHz wireless controllers.
I may not be playing with three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz like the XBox 360 behemoth, but I've gone almost a year without a hard reset on my iPAQ.
In the interim, I'm still happily downing warplanes in SkyForce while checking the forums with some amusement.
I'm a bit amused because Microsoft is already pushing the XBox 360 game consoles out the door at a loss for each unit.
This is somewhat common and is usually offset by the revenue garnered from XBox game licensing.
The uncommon part is facing a potental recall for a game console as anticipated as the XBox 360.
All I can say is that my Windows Mobile 2003 based iPAQ is remarkably stable during gameplay 95% of the time.
Even if it isn't, stability is usually just a hard reset away anyway.
I'm betting that some unfortunate XBox 360 purchasers are wishing they had a similar option at this point.
